TEX 2026: Abdourahimoglu’s Rise and Comparison with 2025 Changes in the Consular Directorate
The 2026 Turkish Union of Xanthi assembly reveals tightened consular control, with Kerem Abdurrahimoglu solidifying power amid increased turnout, reflecting Ankara’s reinforced covert grip in Thrace.
TEX 2026: The “Iron Fist” of the Consulate and the Strategic Consolidation of Kerem Abdurahimoglu
The conclusion of the General Assembly of the illegal Turkish Union of Xanthi (TEX)
on April 26, 2026, was not a mere procedural formality.
Comparing this year’s results with those of 2025 reveals a
clear picture: the consular apparatus has “tightened” its ranks, increasing participation and consolidating key figures who faithfully execute the orders of the Directorate.
1. The Strategy of the “Mass”: Increasing Participation
While in 2025, 377 members voted, this year attendance rose to 467 members
(an increase of nearly 24%). This mobilization is no coincidence.
Following the departure of Ozan Ahmetoglu last year, there was a need to prove that the
structure remains strong and “alive” despite court rulings classifying it as a “ghost association.”
2. The Absolute Dominance of Abdurahimoglu
Kerem Abdurahimoglu, who received 226 votes last year, this year soared to 386 votes.
This is an impressive consolidation around his person,
confirming that he has received the “green light” to act
as the absolute representative of the consular line in Xanthi, under the close
supervision of Mustafa Trampa.
3. Recycling and Internal Movement
We observe an interesting reshuffle:
-
Ipek Salihoglu, from 203 votes last year, rose to 323, taking over the position of General Secretary.
-
Ismet Tiutsar,
who was last year’s leading vote-getter (243) on the Board of Directors, this year
“moved” to the presidency of the Audit Council (261 votes),
showing that the apparatus fully controls the hierarchy according to
operational needs.
4. The Shadow of the Parastate and Institutional Tolerance
As in the previous year, this year’s process
unfolded with the provocative presence and endorsement of elected officials of the
Hellenic Republic. The presence of Huseyin Zeibek, Burhan Baran, and Ahmet Kurt
provides a cloak of “legitimacy” to an organization that the Supreme Court has ruled threatens public order.
Editor’s Note
One year after the departure of the “longest-serving” Ozan Ahmetoglu, TEX shows no decline,
on the contrary, it appears to renew its momentum through a controlled
“democracy of the 400.” Abdurahimoglu is no longer a transitional president but the chosen one of the Trampa system.
The increase in votes and the disciplined allocation of roles prove that the
parastate in Thrace is not merely recycling itself; it is being upgraded,
exploiting the persistent institutional apathy of Athens. TEX remains Ankara’s
“bridgehead,” with new faces but the exact same anti-national agenda.
