Thrace Zero Hour: Digital hybrid threat from pseudo-mufti Tramba’s system

An organized digital propaganda operation is distorting events in Thrace through viral TikTok videos falsely claiming Greek authorities paid fugitives to stage racist provocations outside a courthouse.

Anatomy of the Propaganda Mechanism and False Claims

The audiovisual material, found on the digital channel “btt HABER” on the X and Instagram platforms, as well as publications in the controlled Turkish press, such as Yeni Şafak (June 9, 2026), are not isolated incidents. They are products of an orchestrated communication network with specific axes of disinformation:

The claim of “funded provocation”: The video and publications falsely claim that Greek authorities transported in an organized manner, by bus, 20,000 fugitives from the FETÖ organization from the outskirts of Xanthi, paying each of them 50 euros, in order to stage a “racist provocation” outside the courthouse.

The deliberate inversion of events: The material isolates audio excerpts, such as the chant “Turks out,” presenting the reactions of the local community as “racist persecution” of the minority.

Internationalization and “reciprocity”: In his statements to Yeni Şafak, the pseudo-mufti Mustafa Trampa attempts to link a criminal case of insult with Turkish propaganda about Thrace.

Legal instrumentalization by Ankara: The accused and former president of the illegally operating “Turkish Union of Xanthi,” Ozan Ahmetoğlu, openly called on Turkish lawyers and representatives of bar associations to intervene, confirming the attempt to internationalize and exert pressure on Greek judicial authorities.

The Reality

This particular rhetoric constitutes the official line of Mustafa Trampa. Operating as an agent of Ankara, he collectively characterized as “Gülenists” religious teachers and members of the minority who support the legal Muftis and distance themselves from the Turkish Consulate, transferring the political persecution practices of the Erdoğan regime to European soil.

An Immediate Threat to Local Security

This content does not merely constitute “fake news,” but a mechanism for producing fanaticism and division. The targeting of Greek citizens as members of a terrorist organization, as FETÖ is considered in Turkey, within Greek territory:

  • Endangers the physical integrity of religious teachers and their families.
  • Attempts to terrorize the minority, so that no Muslim citizen diverges from the Consulate’s directives.
  • Undermines national security, falsely presenting the Hellenic Republic as a provocateur state, while the local community seeks to maintain harmonious coexistence.

How to stop the spread of the propaganda hate network

To date, no official institutional process has been initiated and it remains unknown whether the competent authorities have grasped the magnitude of the threat. The response to hybrid propaganda begins with civil society.

STEP 1: Gathering Evidence

Before any report, take screenshots of the video, posts, and accompanying hate comments, so that an archive of evidentiary material is maintained.

STEP 2: TikTok Reporting Procedure

  • Go to the account profile (e.g., “btt HABER”).
  • Click the share arrow or the three dots at the top right.
  • Select “Report” and then “Report Account.”
  • As the reason, select “Hate Speech” or “Dangerous Content / Terrorism.”

STEP 3: Zero Interaction

Do not comment on or share the video, even to express indignation. Social media algorithms translate every interaction as popularity, amplifying its dissemination. Only Report and Block.

Editor’s Comment

The introduction of the internal purges, persecutions, and political obsessions of the Erdoğan regime into Thrace constitutes a crude hybrid threat.

The invocation of the FETÖ network inside a Greek courtroom, on the occasion of a case concerning the insulting of the former Acting Mufti of Komotini, reflects the panic of the consular establishment in the face of the institutional fortification of the region.

Greece is a European state governed by the rule of law. The security of its citizens is non-negotiable and the “witch hunt” logic of Ankara cannot be tolerated. In Thrace, the law prevails and it will be enforced unwaveringly.
