Freed Israeli Hostage Reveals Horrific Sexual Abuse by Hamas
A former Israeli hostage kidnapped from the Nova music festival has publicly detailed systematic sexual abuse and torture he endured during over two years in Hamas captivity in Gaza.
Guy Gilboa-Dalal, 24, was kidnapped from the Nova music festival during the October 7, 2023, terror attack on Israel. In a new interview with Israel’s First Lady Michal Herzog, he provided disturbing details of the sadistic treatment inflicted upon him by his captors, as New York Post reports.
The young survivor described a horrifying incident in which a Hamas terrorist dragged him into a room, blindfolded him, and forced him to undress. The captor then subjected him to degrading verbal abuse before carrying out a sexual assault.
According to Gilboa-Dalal, the terrorist taunted him with obscene references to pornography before positioning himself behind the blindfolded hostage and touching his body while kissing his neck and back. The assault lasted approximately 20 minutes.
When it concluded, the attacker pressed a knife to Gilboa-Dalal’s neck and threatened to kill him if he ever disclosed the abuse. The terrorist then escalated the threat by placing a gun to his head and repeating the deadly warning.
In a separate assault, Gilboa-Dalal recounted being attacked after being permitted to shower. A Hamas captor forced him naked into a room, prevented him from dressing, and subjected him to another 20-minute sexual assault while he lay face-down on a couch.
Every second was like an entire lifetime, the victim stated, explaining that his mind had disconnected during the ordeal. He described feeling utterly powerless and too physically weakened to resist.
That attack ended with the terrorist throwing him to the ground, beating him, and again threatening death if he revealed what had occurred. Gilboa-Dalal was then forced to tell his abuser that he loved him before being released.
The survivor said he now feels a responsibility to speak publicly about the sexual violence perpetrated against hostages in Gaza. He expressed hope that sharing his story would encourage other victims to come forward and help them understand they are not alone.
Gilboa-Dalal was reunited with his family on October 13, 2025, following his release as part of a group of 20 living hostages freed under a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. He had spent more than two years in captivity after being seized from the music festival massacre.
His testimony adds to mounting evidence of systematic sexual abuse and torture used by Hamas against Israeli hostages held in Gaza since the October 7 terror attacks.
