Sverigedemokraterna
About
The Sweden Democrats (Sverigedemokraterna, SD) were founded in 1988 with roots in neo-Nazi and extremist circles, but underwent a sustained modernization under Jimmie Åkesson that transformed them into a major parliamentary force. The party combines attachment to Sweden's welfare state with strict immigration policy and national-conservative values. Winning around twenty percent in the 2022 Swedish elections, SD provided the parliamentary support enabling the right-wing Tidö Agreement government.
Wikipedia ↗Leadership

Born in 1979, he joined the party at sixteen and gradually purged its extremist elements while building an electable national-conservative profile. His two decades at the helm transformed SD from a fringe movement into Sweden's second-largest party. He is widely regarded as one of the most strategically effective leaders in European right-wing politics.
