RECONQUÊTE
About
Reconquête was founded in 2021 by author and TV commentator Éric Zemmour as a vehicle for his presidential campaign. The party occupies a hardline identitarian-conservative space to the right of RN, combining strict immigration opposition with cultural assimilation demands and defense of French "civilizational" identity. Zemmour won roughly seven percent in the 2022 presidential race. The party suffered a major blow in October 2024 when Marion Maréchal and several MEPs broke away to found IDL, leaving Reconquête with a single seat in the European Parliament.
