N-VA
About
The New Flemish Alliance (N-VA) was founded in 2001 by Bart De Wever and rapidly became Belgium's largest party. It advocates a confederalist reorganization of Belgium giving Flanders sweeping autonomy, paired with a center-right economic program and moderate conservative social views. Although it shares the goal of Flemish self-determination with Vlaams Belang, N-VA positions itself as a mainstream, government-capable party. De Wever became Belgian Prime Minister in early 2025.
