Pop singer Olivia Rodrigo condemned ICE for using her song in a deportation video, calling border enforcement cruel and barbaric while demanding the agency stop using her music.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency featured Rodrigo’s track “All-American Bitch” in a video posted in early November encouraging illegal immigrants to use voluntary departure options, according to Breitbart News. The post, shared on November 4, carried a clear message directing those in the country unlawfully to leave voluntarily or face enforcement consequences.

Rodrigo responded directly to the federal agency on social media, warning ICE not to use her music to advance what she termed racist and hateful messaging. The singer later expanded on her reaction in an interview with Dazed Digital, describing her shock at discovering the video while browsing her phone.

The artist told the outlet she found the immigration enforcement messaging deeply disturbing and said the inclusion of her song intensified her anger. She characterized current deportation operations as awful, barbaric, and cruel, adding that she feels saddened to live in a nation that accepts such policies.

ICE had captioned the video with instructions for illegal immigrants to depart voluntarily using the CBP Home application, warning of consequences for those who refuse. The audio track was subsequently muted from the White House video following the backlash.

The controversy highlights a divide among entertainers regarding association with the Trump administration’s immigration agenda. While Rodrigo has vocally opposed any connection to enforcement messaging, other high-profile artists have embraced ties to the White House.

Rapper Nicki Minaj recently drew attention from left-wing critics after declaring strong support for President Trump. The best-selling artist even thanked the president last year for including her in official White House content, demonstrating a markedly different posture from Rodrigo’s hostile response.
