Ihab Khrizim was killed in Khan Yunis, Gaza’s second-largest city located in the southern Gaza Strip, during an operation conducted on Tuesday, as New York Post reports. Israeli military officials characterized the elimination as a major setback to Hamas’s rehabilitation efforts.

According to Israel’s military, Khrizim had been actively managing the transfer of millions of dollars to Hamas’s military apparatus and was in direct violation of ceasefire arrangements. His financial activities enabled the planning and execution of terror operations targeting both IDF personnel deployed in Gaza and Israeli civilians in the immediate term.

Israeli military officials released aerial thermal footage showing forces tracking a vehicle before executing the strike. The footage captured the car erupting in flames with thick smoke pouring from the targeted vehicle.

The operation also resulted in the death of Hamas terrorist Mohammed al-Habash, identified as a weapons manufacturer for the terror organization, according to New York Post.

In a separate strike on the same day, Mohammed Odeh, a high-ranking figure in Hamas’s military wing with direct ties to the October 7, 2023 massacre, was killed along with his wife and two children. Odeh had commanded Hamas’s intelligence unit during the brutal attack on Israel and had been promoted approximately one week prior to replace Izz al-Din al-Haddad, who was eliminated in an Israeli strike on May 15.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s office stated that Odeh bore responsibility for the murder, kidnapping, and wounding of numerous Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz celebrated Odeh’s elimination, declaring the terrorist was now in the depths of hell.

A joint funeral service was conducted in Gaza City on Wednesday, where mourners fired gunshots into the air and chanted slogans. The four bodies were draped in the terror group’s distinctive green flags.

The military operations occurred as Muslims throughout the region prepared for Eid al-Adha festivities, a four-day holiday known as the Feast of Sacrifice.
