ICE Arrests Illegal Aliens Convicted of Child Sex Crimes
ICE arrested dozens of illegal immigrants convicted of child sexual abuse, domestic violence, drug trafficking and other serious crimes in weekend operations across multiple states.
The arrests took place over the weekend while Americans gathered for UFC Freedom 250 in the nation’s capital. Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Lauren Bis confirmed that ICE agents were simultaneously conducting operations targeting dangerous criminals in the country illegally.
Among those apprehended were Miguel Gorasieta Jaimes from Mexico, who had been convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child in Harris County, Texas. ICE also detained Teodolo Resendiz-Figueroa, another Mexican national convicted in Los Angeles, California, of continuous sexual abuse of a child and three counts of lewd acts upon a child.
Additional arrests included Cesar Martin Sanchez-Martinez of Mexico, previously convicted of felony vehicular assault and child abuse with serious bodily injury in Arapahoe County, Colorado. Urbano Estrada-Santizo, a Guatemalan national, was taken into custody following convictions for drunk driving and felony incest in Nashville, Tennessee.
Edinson Amador from the Dominican Republic was arrested after a prior conviction for cocaine trafficking in Boston, Massachusetts.
Further Arrests Across the Nation
ICE operations netted multiple other convicted criminals:
- Noe Moreno-Salazar from Mexico, convicted of criminal sexual abuse, possession of a controlled substance, and aggravated unlawful use of a loaded weapon in St. Charles, Illinois.
- Santos Ruben Gutierrez from El Salvador, convicted of indecency with a child in Lewisville, Texas.
- Ramon R. Castillo from Mexico, convicted of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 in Santa Clarita, California.
- Alex Jimenez-Cochancela from Ecuador, convicted of promoting a sexual performance by a child in Carmel, New York.
- Salomon Santos-Cach from Mexico, convicted of assault of a minor with intent to commit rape in Sonoma, California.
- Santa Mongar from Bhutan, convicted of assault and battery and first-degree sexual abuse in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
- Jose Victor Gonzalez-Rosales from El Salvador, convicted of battery of spouse, obstructing a police officer, and burglary in Los Angeles, California.
- Luis Ramos-Sacramento from Mexico, convicted of endangering the welfare of a child through abuse and neglect, plus aggravated assault involving domestic violence in Freehold, New Jersey.
- Nicandro Garcia-Perez from Mexico, convicted in U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska for possession with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine.
- James Ayur Garang from Sudan, convicted of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Administration Commitment to Public Safety
Bis emphasized the ongoing commitment of ICE personnel to enforcement priorities under the current administration, stating that agents work around the clock to fulfill presidential promises on public safety. She added that ICE will continue targeting the most dangerous offenders to protect American communities.
The weekend arrests represent part of a broader enforcement strategy focused on removing criminal aliens who pose the greatest threat to public safety and national security.
