Arab Terrorist Kills One, Wounds Five in Central Israel
A Palestinian man with Israeli citizenship killed one person and injured several others in a shooting spree across central Israel before authorities concluded he acted alone.
The mass shooting was perpetrated by a Palestinian man holding Israeli citizenship from Tayibe, Israeli Police Commissioner Danny Levy confirmed following an extensive manhunt conducted by police and the Israel Defense Forces.
Reports from Israel’s Channel 12 indicate the attacker remained inside his vehicle throughout the shooting spree, enabling him to strike multiple locations within minutes.

Local residents were ordered to remain indoors while children were placed under lockdown at schools for approximately three hours, the regional council head stated.
A special unit from Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security agency, was deployed to the scene. Following an intensive search for possible additional perpetrators, Police Commissioner Levy determined the attack involved only one terrorist.
Israeli Police reported recovering the attacker’s vehicle, which bore Israeli license plates, along with the weapon used in the assault.
Security forces continued sweeping the area for any additional threats. The IDF imposed a broad closure on Palestinian villages in the vicinity and launched raids in Tayibe.
Lior Zilberberg, Magen David Adom Kfar Saba station chief and paramedic, noted that a large-scale first responder training exercise was underway at a nearby town when the alert came through.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry issued confirmation of the events.
Zilberberg explained that emergency teams immediately halted the exercise and deployed intensive care vehicles and ambulances to the gas station in Kochav Yair, Tzur Yitzhak, and Tzur Natan.
A man approximately 35 years old was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. Two individuals sustained serious injuries while three others suffered moderate wounds in the attack.
Tensions throughout Israel and the West Bank have remained elevated since October 2023, when Hamas-led Islamic terrorists launched a brutal assault on southern Israel on October 7. That massacre resulted in approximately 1,200 deaths, the abduction of 251 hostages, and widespread rape and torture.
