Video footage shared by Libs of TikTok shows the suspect methodically targeting homes displaying the Stars and Stripes, according to New York Post. The disturbing incident occurred on a day Americans across the nation set aside to honor military service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

The footage captured the vandal walking a large white dog down the street while appearing to actively search for American flags planted in front yards. After locating his targets, the man attempted to kick one flag out of the ground but failed on his first try as the flag remained firmly planted despite the strike.

His second attempt proved successful. The video shows him positioning himself before delivering a forceful kick that sent another American flag flying into the street.

The incident ignited widespread anger on social media, with many Americans viewing it as another troubling example of anti-American sentiment flourishing in California’s heavily Democratic political environment.

One social media user pointed to the state’s liberal leadership, commenting that California residents embrace Governor Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, and Vice President Kamala Harris.

The Memorial Day flag vandalism comes just months after rioters burned an American flag and confronted federal officers during a January demonstration outside a federal building in Santa Ana, also located in Orange County.

The Buena Park Police Department has been contacted regarding the flag-kicking incident, though no arrests have been publicly announced.
