Left-Wing Paper: ICE Deportations Worsen Global Warming
The Guardian claims ICE deportation flights produced 335,876 tonnes of carbon emissions in 2025, though this represents just one-thousandth of domestic airline industry emissions.
The UK’s Guardian newspaper has published a report blaming deportation flights conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement for worsening climate change, in what appears to be the latest attempt by immigration advocates to manufacture opposition to enforcement operations.
According to Breitbart News, Savitri Arvey, a research director at the pro-migration lobby group Human Rights First, told the Guardian that immigration enforcement flights have increased dramatically. The May 26 article claimed that ICE air operations produced an estimated 335,876 tonnes of carbon emissions in 2025, representing an 88 percent increase from the previous year.
However, a straightforward comparison reveals the scale of the Guardian’s alarmism. ICE air operations generate just one-thousandth of the greenhouse gases produced by the domestic airline industry alone, and one two-thousandths of all aircraft emissions recorded in 2017, as Breitbart News reports.
In exchange for these minimal emissions, American citizens gain substantial benefits from removing economic migrants who entered during the Biden administration. These benefits include reduced crime rates, decreased pressure on social cohesion, upward wage pressure for working-class Americans, more affordable housing, and restored citizen influence over their communities and nation.
ICE currently operates approximately three times as many flights monthly in 2025 compared to 2024—roughly 1,800 flights versus 600 flights. The increase stems partly from logistical requirements, as ICE frequently transports illegal aliens from northern states to detention facilities in Texas and other southern states. Detainees typically remain in custody for several weeks while ICE navigates various procedural obstacles erected by pro-migration progressives.
Brett Heinz, global policy coordinator at the pro-migration American Friends Service Committee, told the Guardian that the pollution from enforcement flights harms every American family. The article was written by Alexandra Villareal, who previously worked for the National Immigration Forum, another pro-migration advocacy organization.
Heinz claimed that attempting to inflict suffering on immigrants also inflicts suffering on all Americans, adding that no one escapes when authorities try to increase human misery.
Immigration advocates remain desperate to manufacture minority opposition to President Donald Trump‘s deportation policies, despite polling showing broad public support for enforcement.
Meanwhile, Americans continue speaking publicly about crimes committed by the very illegal migrants defended by American progressives and UK progressive media outlets.
