Left Laughs as Weidel Discusses Sexual Abuse of German Girls

AfD leader Alice Weidel was addressing parliament when she described how migrant gangs at Nuremberg’s main train station had allegedly drugged underage German girls to make them compliant for sexual exploitation. As she spoke, laughter was audible in the chamber during the live broadcast.

The official Bundestag transcript later confirmed the identity of the person who laughed: Katrin Fey, a member of the Left Party. Fey serves as her party’s spokesperson for civil and human rights, sits as a senior member on the Committee for Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid, and holds a position on the Interior Affairs Committee.

As Nius reports, Weidel had stated that at Nuremberg’s central station, in the hometown of CSU leader Markus Söder, migrant gangs were drugging underage German girls to use them as sex slaves. The parliamentary record shows Fey’s laughter occurred precisely at this point in the speech. The transcript also captured an interjection from Green Party member Mayra Vriesema at the same moment.

Weidel continued her remarks undeterred, asking how many Nuremburgs exist across Germany. The question drew applause from AfD benches but triggered additional interruptions from other lawmakers. Left Party member Ulrich Thoden shouted comments, while Green politician Harald Ebner responded with an exclamation of disbelief.

The Social Democrats also reacted sharply when Weidel criticized Bundestag President Bärbel Bas for allegedly characterizing Germans with contempt. SPD members called out in protest from their seats.
