The 44-year-old daughter of President Trump was spotted riding a green surfboard alongside a professional instructor on Sunday, according to Vanessa Serna writing in New York Post. She appeared in high spirits throughout the session, dressed in a white wetsuit top paired with black bottoms and her hair styled in a practical braid.
The First Daughter didn’t let a loss of balance dampen her enthusiasm, quickly recovering after falling into the water and returning to the board to continue her lesson. Her husband, Jared Kushner, and their three children—Arabella Rose, 13, Joseph Frederick, 10, and Theodore James, 8—were not photographed during the surfing session.

Ivanka Trump had shared snapshots from the Costa Rica trip on her Instagram account earlier last week, posting photos with her husband and children enjoying outdoor activities including time on the golf course. The post, captioned simply “Summer Snaps,” showed the family in relaxed spirits amid natural surroundings.
Costa Rica has become a regular vacation destination for the Trump-Kushner family, with the businesswoman frequently taking advantage of the country’s renowned surf breaks during their visits.

The most recent previous sighting of Ivanka surfing occurred in April 2025, when she was photographed on a blue board while her children watched from a nearby board. That trip also included a beach instruction session where she reviewed fundamental surfing techniques with a trainer on the sand.
During the same April visit, she enjoyed a family beach day that included her sister-in-law Karlie Kloss, who is married to Joshua Kushner. Ivanka was seen wearing an orange two-piece swimsuit during that outing, while Kloss and Joshua socialized with other guests nearby.
The Trump family’s continued visits to Costa Rica reflect a preference for active vacation pursuits in tropical settings, with surfing appearing to be a particular passion for the former White House senior adviser.
