Michael Leiter delivered the stark assessment during an appearance on NewsNation’s “Katie Pavlich Tonight” broadcast on Thursday, according to Breitbart News.

The Israeli diplomat outlined what he described as the best case scenario for any potential agreement with Tehran. Under such an arrangement, Iran would be required to grant access to international inspectors and experts who would verify the complete removal of all nuclear production capabilities.

Leiter stressed the urgency of addressing Iran’s existing centrifuge infrastructure, noting that the 1,700 units currently operational represent an immediate threat due to their capacity to produce weapons-grade enriched uranium on extremely short notice.

The ambassador made clear that dismantlement must go beyond temporary measures. The centrifuges must either be physically taken apart or rendered permanently incapable of being reassembled and put back into service.

Earlier in the interview, Leiter expressed confidence that Israel would prioritize diplomatic solutions over military action if a comprehensive deal could be reached. However, he indicated such an agreement would need to include nothing less than the complete elimination of Iran’s nuclear weapons development infrastructure.

The comments come amid ongoing international concerns about Iran’s nuclear program and its continued advancement toward weapons-grade enrichment capabilities despite previous diplomatic efforts to curb the regime’s atomic ambitions.
