Iran Threatens More Bombings After U.S. Strikes: ‘Leave If You Want to Be Safe’

Abbas Araghchi delivered the threat on Tuesday after the Pentagon confirmed precision strikes against Iranian targets, according to Breitbart News. The airstrikes came in direct retaliation for Iran’s downing of an American AH-64 Apache helicopter the previous day.

President Donald Trump ordered the military response despite the successful rescue of both pilots from the downed aircraft, reportedly recovered by an American sea drone. Speaking to ABC News, Trump emphasized the necessity of a forceful answer to any attack on American personnel.

This is a response to what they did with our helicopter last night, Trump stated, adding that the American reply must be very strong and powerful.

U.S. Central Command confirmed late Monday that it had completed self-defense strikes against Iran, directly linking the operation to the Apache helicopter attack. CENTCOM forces struck Iranian air defense systems, ground control stations, and surveillance radar sites near the Strait of Hormuz using precision munitions delivered by U.S. Air Force and Navy fighter jets.

The military command characterized the assault as a proportional response not only to the helicopter attack but also to Iran’s ongoing disruption of international commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Reports indicate American forces targeted the town of Sirik on the Strait of Hormuz and military installations on Qeshm Island.

Araghchi responded with a message mixing defiance and fury, referencing alleged American battlefield defeats without providing specifics. His social media statement carried an unmistakable threat of additional violence against U.S. forces.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqaei reinforced the threatening posture during his Tuesday briefing, promising Tehran would respond to the enemy with full resolve whenever necessary. He also suggested Iran might reassess its participation in ongoing peace negotiations with the United States.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, designated as a terrorist organization by Washington, claimed to have conducted retaliatory strikes overnight Wednesday against American positions in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain. The IRGC asserted it targeted 21 American sites across the three nations.

However, as Breitbart News reports, all three countries confirmed activating air defense systems and intercepting the attacks, with no casualties or damage reported in any location.

Despite the apparent failure of the Iranian counterattack, pro-Iran propaganda outlets claimed devastating success. Al Mayadeen cited an anonymous Iranian military source asserting that missiles hit 70 percent of designated targets. The outlet also published what it characterized as visual evidence of successful strikes and claimed the IRGC destroyed four high-value targets using long-range solid-fuel missiles.

The current military confrontation between Washington and Tehran erupted on February 28 when Trump launched Operation Epic Fury to degrade Iran’s capacity to threaten neighboring states. Iran remains the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, funding and directing jihadist organizations including Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and numerous terrorist networks operating throughout Iraq, Syria, and Yemen.

On the opening day of Operation Epic Fury, Trump announced that the operation had eliminated Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei. Subsequent joint American-Israeli operations have killed dozens of senior Iranian regime officials, creating significant chaos within the government’s leadership structure.

Trump called for an indefinite ceasefire in April to facilitate peace discussions toward a broader agreement. Peace negotiations continue but have produced no visible public progress. Tehran demands an end to all hostilities and sanctions, while the White House insists Iran must abandon its illicit nuclear development programs, particularly its uranium enrichment activities.
