Brayanne Escobar-Guarnizo received a 300-month prison sentence this month after entering a guilty plea in August 2025 to sexual exploitation of a minor. The illegal alien had unlawfully crossed into the United States in 2023 during the Biden administration.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office took Escobar-Guarnizo into custody in September 2024 following a call from a woman who reported that the illegal immigrant had impregnated her young daughter. Investigators subsequently uncovered photographs and messages exchanged between the adult male and the child victim, resulting in an additional charge of production of child pornography.

Lauren Bis of the Department of Homeland Security issued a statement condemning the crime and the circumstances that allowed it to occur. This illegal alien never should have been allowed into our country by the Biden Administration, Bis stated, highlighting the failure of previous border policies.

The DHS official praised the collaborative investigative efforts between ICE law enforcement officers and their state and local partners that led to the conviction. She emphasized that under Secretary Mullin’s leadership, the department will maintain its focus on identifying and removing criminal illegal aliens from American communities.

The case underscores ongoing concerns about border security failures and the consequences of inadequate immigration enforcement during the previous administration.
