Homan Blasts Democrat Threats Over Immigration Plans
Trump Border Czar Tom Homan dismissed threats from a Texas Democratic House candidate who vowed to convert a federal detention facility into a prison for immigration officers and Jewish Americans if elected.
During an appearance Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Homan responded to controversial remarks made by Maureen Galindo, who stated she would convert the Karnes ICE Detention Center into a prison for what she called “American Zionists” and former ICE personnel if elected to Congress.
Guest host Kayleigh McEnany highlighted the dual nature of Galindo’s comments, noting that beyond the antisemitic language, the candidate had effectively called for imprisoning both Jewish citizens and immigration officers alongside one another. The remarks drew particular scrutiny given recent violence targeting ICE personnel in Texas.
Homan’s response was unambiguous. “She’s obviously an idiot. Bottom line is, bring it,” he told Breitbart News during the interview. He emphasized that the Trump administration operates within existing legal frameworks rather than creating policy arbitrarily, and warned that political threats would not deter immigration enforcement efforts.
Enforcement Priorities
The border czar reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to aggressive immigration law enforcement, particularly targeting individuals deemed public safety and national security threats. Holan credited Trump’s leadership with achieving what he characterized as “the most secure border in history of this nation,” alongside record arrest and removal figures.
He signaled continued escalation of enforcement operations, dismissing Democratic opposition and legal threats as ineffective obstacles to the administration’s agenda.
