Farage Demands Immediate End to DEI in Police Force Culture

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has demanded urgent cultural change in British policing after footage showed officers handcuffing stabbing victim Henry Nowak while prioritizing his killer's claims.

The British people should respond with pure, cold rage to the death of Henry Nowak, Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has declared, warning that the British state is rotting from the head down and demanding urgent cultural change across policing and government institutions.

The Brexit architect and opposition party leader addressed the nation Tuesday morning following the overnight release of body-worn camera footage by Hampshire Police, according to Breitbart News. The shocking video shows officers responding to the stabbing death of 18-year-old student Henry Nowak, who was killed by a Sikh man wielding a religious shastar ceremonial knife.

The footage captured officers handcuffing the dying murder victim in his final moments while prioritising a fabricated claim of racial abuse made by the killer and dismissing the actual stabbing that was taking place.

Farage invoked Britain’s descent into a two-tier society where police interactions are determined more by the race of those involved than by the pursuit of justice and equality before the law. The nation must pause to take a long, hard look at itself and what it has become, he stated.

The Reform leader drew a stark comparison to the 2020 death of career criminal George Floyd in the American Midwest and the wildly different response from British authorities and media. Within days of Floyd’s death, Labour leader Keir Starmer was taking the knee, Black Lives Matter protests erupted nationwide, Churchill’s statue was defaced, and the Cenotaph was vandalised, Farage recalled.

In contrast, the public reaction from British leaders, politicians, and much of the media to Nowak’s death has been silence. Absolute silence. This serves as proof, if any were needed, that Britain now operates under a two-tier culture where the rights and privileges of white people matter less than those of ethnic minorities, as Breitbart News reports.

The British government manages race relations through hate speech laws, a DEI culture of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and positive discrimination favouring ethnic minorities over whites, Farage explained. Britons should therefore not be surprised at the instinctive response of police officers arriving at a crime scene and deciding whom to believe between a Sikh man alleging racial abuse and a white man alleging a stabbing.

Police Culture and Perverse Incentives

While condemning the individual decisions made by officers at the scene, Farage made clear they were responding to their training, the prevailing policing culture, and its incentive structures. The biggest fear a police officer now has while carrying out street duty is being reported for acting in a racially biased manner, he said. That fear has become greater than the imperative of dealing with a dying man lying on the ground.

While praising the Nowak family for their dignity following the tragedy, Farage urged the public to channel their anger over the death and its bungled police handling into concrete demands for systemic change.

The rest of the country should respond with pure, cold, rage, the Reform leader stated. All the values and standards of living in a free country where everybody is judged equally before the law have been trashed and thrown away.

Demands for Immediate Action

Several things need to happen very quickly, Farage outlined. First, the police investigation into itself needs to reach conclusions and produce a report with extreme urgency. Second, even proceeding through to sentencing, the sentence handed down was actually lower than the recommended minimum for a sustained, aggressive, murderous assault.

Farage confirmed he would be writing to the Attorney General requesting a review of the sentence given to murderer Digwa. Most importantly, British culture must change if society is not to be ripped apart, with communities starting to distrust each other and deeply distrust the police and all other national institutions.

Britain needs an end to anti-white prejudice, Farage demanded. The country requires promotion of the idea that white lives matter just as much as black lives, an end to DEI and positive discrimination, and a return to treating everybody equally and fairly before the law.

This is serious and urgent, the Reform leader warned. He fears for where British society will be in just a few short years if the nation does not grip this crisis and address it very quickly.

Reflecting on police culture, Farage noted that the fish rots from the head down. The government and police chiefs must begin the reform process today if they hope to regain public trust.

Government Response

Following Farage’s stated intention to write to the Attorney General about the short 21-year minimum sentence handed to killer Digwa, the government indicated it would consider a review. Officials noted they had received multiple requests to examine the lenient sentence. The government has 28 days to decide whether to refer the case to the Court of Appeal.
