Farage: Anti-White Racism Embedded in British State Under Equality Act

In his first article for Substack, the Brexit champion accused Westminster of actively implementing policies that disadvantage white British citizens while promoting minorities through the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion agenda, according to Breitbart News.

Nigel Farage rejected claims that DEI initiatives merely level the playing field, instead characterising them as a deeply sinister act of social cleansing in which unelected anti-racist networks use their authority to dominate and suppress the native population.

The Reform boss identified the Equality Act of 2010 as the primary vehicle through which anti-white discrimination has been institutionalised across every level of public life. The legislation was driven forward by the previous Labour government under Gordon Brown and former deputy leader Harriet Harman, who has recently been brought back as an advisor to Sir Keir Starmer in Downing Street.

Despite its ostensibly neutral title, Farage argued the Act was never truly about preventing discrimination, as those protections had existed for decades. Instead, Labour used the legislation to inject a political agenda into the state apparatus that would outlive their time in government, committing Britain to what he described as a permanent revolution that had nothing to do with genuine equality.

The Hidden Agenda of Section 149

The Reform leader drew particular attention to Section 149 of the Equality Act, which introduced a public sector equality duty requiring public bodies to encourage participation from groups with protected characteristics in areas where their representation is disproportionately low, as Breitbart News reports.

This provision effectively mandated that state institutions embrace DEI principles, prioritising representation across identity categories over merit-based standards of equality. While Labour embedded this framework, Farage noted that the subsequent Conservative government turbocharged the project by demanding annual equality objective reports from public institutions.

The Tory mandate created an enormous legal burden that necessitated establishing a permanent class of DEI bureaucrats throughout the public sector, transforming Human Resources into perhaps the only reliably functioning part of the economy.

Workarounds Enable Discrimination

Supporters of the legislation insist it does not establish quota systems for elevating ethnic, sexual or religious minorities. However, Farage dismissed this defence, noting that those promoting such bigotry rarely express their discriminatory views explicitly and instead rely on numerous workarounds to exclude white people.

Though the Equality Act technically prohibits positive discrimination, it permits positive action, allowing public and private organisations to design programmes such as paid internships that specifically exclude young white men. The legislation also introduced a tiebreaker system enabling decision-makers to consider identity characteristics when choosing between equally qualified candidates.

Reform UK Pledges to Restore Meritocracy

Farage pledged that Reform UK would end this madness by abolishing the Equality Act and reverting to pre-2010 anti-discrimination codes. This would immediately outlaw positive action discrimination in hiring and promotions across all sectors.

Under a Reform government, no recruitment, training or promotion policies favouring one group over another would be lawful, restoring meritocracy so that skin colour, sex, age or sexuality bears no weight on employment prospects or workplace treatment. Only qualification for the role would matter.

The party would also prohibit national and local governments from implementing DEI-style policies and make political appointments with a mandate to enforce DEI bans at ground level.

Henry Nowak Case Highlights Anti-White Bias

The issue of anti-white racism has dominated political discourse over the past month following the trial for the murder of 18-year-old student Henry Nowak, who was fatally stabbed by Sikh man Vikrum Digwa with a ceremonial knife.

Despite officers arriving at the scene before his death, police refused to believe Nowak had been stabbed, instead accepting claims from Digwa and his family that the teenager had been racially abusive. Officers handcuffed the dying young man rather than providing immediate assistance.

Farage and other political figures have argued that the actions taken by police represent a direct consequence of institutionalised anti-white bias embedded within British institutions through legislation like the Equality Act.
