Democrats Choose Crazy Over Common Sense, Lose Again

American voters face a stark choice in the upcoming midterm elections between Republican common sense and radical progressive ideology that has consistently failed to improve the lives of ordinary citizens, according to Rep. Mary Miller writing in Washington Examiner.

The fundamental question before the electorate is whether they want governance rooted in traditional values and pragmatic solutions, or the embrace of extreme left-wing policies that have moved from the political fringe into the mainstream Democratic Party platform.

Across multiple states, Democratic candidates and officials have demonstrated their alignment with positions that would have been unthinkable just a decade ago, Miller argues.

Michigan Senate Race Highlights Extremist Connections

In Michigan, Abdul el Sayed, the Democratic Senate nominee, actively campaigned with far-left internet personality Hasan Piker. Piker has gained notoriety for inflammatory anti-American statements, including his 2019 claim that the United States deserved the September 11 terrorist attacks. He has also praised Chinese Communist dictator Mao Zedong as a great leader and appeared publicly in clothing mimicking the communist revolutionary’s style.

El Sayed’s policy platform includes support for socialized healthcare, defunding law enforcement agencies, and eliminating Immigration and Customs Enforcement entirely, according to Miller’s analysis.

Massachusetts Passes Extreme Abortion Legislation

The Democratic-controlled Massachusetts state House voted 119-33 in late last month to approve the Prioritizing Patient Access to Care Act, which removes all gestational limits on abortion procedures and permits termination up until the moment of birth.

Governor Maura Healey celebrated the legislation’s passage surrounded by abortion rights activists, in scenes that quickly circulated on social media and underscored the disconnect between Democratic priorities and mainstream American values.

Democratic Socialists Push Radical Constitutional Overhaul

Democratic Socialists of America co-chair Megan Romer confirmed in a television interview that her organization advocates for abolishing the Senate, presidency, and Supreme Court, along with eliminating national borders and the prison system, while implementing blanket amnesty for illegal immigrants.

The DSA counts among its members New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, alongside numerous Democratic candidates seeking federal office. A functional political party would view proposals to dismantle constitutional institutions and national sovereignty as disqualifying, Miller notes, yet today’s Democratic Party elevates such voices to positions of significant power.

Minnesota Officials Pardon Child Sex Offender

In June, the Minnesota Board of Pardons, including Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison, unanimously granted clemency to Tou Lue Vang, an illegal immigrant who pleaded guilty in 2005 to sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl. The pardon was designed to shield him from a deportation order issued during the Trump administration.

The contrast could not be clearer, according to Miller: Republicans seek full accountability for child predators and their removal from American soil, while Democrats work to keep them in the country despite their criminal convictions.

Harris Calls for Electoral System Overhaul

Vice President Kamala Harris recently posted video content to social media calling for a reconsideration of the Electoral College and expansion of the Supreme Court, measures widely understood as mechanisms to entrench permanent Democratic control.

The November elections will determine whether Americans choose the common-sense governance championed by Republicans and the Trump administration, or whether they empower the progressive wing of the Democratic Party to implement its sweeping agenda of institutional transformation.
