Israel is under interception operations from end to end, while citizens are being called upon to follow strict protection guidelines.

The Israeli Defense Forces announced that Iran launched ballistic missiles toward its territory, resulting in air raid sirens sounding across northern Israel.

According to initial reports, two ballistic missiles have already been intercepted, while operations continue. Authorities immediately called on citizens to move to safe locations and fully comply with military instructions.

Tightening of protection measures

The Home Front Command proceeded to strengthen security measures, as there are assessments that new Iranian attacks may follow. In this context, all educational activities are suspended nationwide, while restrictions are imposed on public gatherings: up to 200 people in outdoor spaces and up to 500 indoors.

Iran’s last major missile attack against Israel occurred on April 8.

The context of escalation

Tehran’s move comes as a response to a recent Israeli air strike on the southern suburbs of Beirut. Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian parliament, had stated earlier that Iran would give a “decisive and painful response” to the Zionist regime’s attack on Dahieh.

As Newsbomb reports, the situation remains highly fluid, with Israel in a state of full readiness.
