Americans Reject A.I. Revolution, Refuse Data Centers in Neighborhoods
New polling shows 70 percent of Americans oppose data centers in their communities while 42 percent of Gen Z workers fear AI will harm their wages and job prospects.
According to Breitbart News, Wynton Hall, the outlet’s social media director and author of “Code Red: The Left, the Right, China, and the Race to Control AI,” discussed the findings during an appearance on “The Alex Marlow Show” this past Sunday.
Hall highlighted that seven out of ten Americans do not want data centers built in their local areas, reflecting widespread public resistance to the infrastructure expansion accompanying the tech industry’s rapid growth.
Additionally, Hall noted that 42 percent of Generation Z workers believe artificial intelligence will negatively impact their wages and employment opportunities, signaling mounting anxiety among younger Americans about their economic futures in an increasingly automated workplace.
The polling data underscores a growing divide between Big Tech’s expansion plans and public sentiment regarding both the physical footprint of technology infrastructure and its effects on American workers.
“The Alex Marlow Show,” hosted by Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow, broadcasts across the country on weekdays from noon to 1 p.m. Eastern on Salem Radio Network stations. The program also airs at 9 p.m. Eastern on the Salem TV news channel.
