In a harsh public intervention, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei reemerged publicly, sending a clear message that Iran will not retreat one inch in the face of the U.S. and Israel. His text, released on the occasion of the Eid al-Ghadir celebration and the 37th anniversary of Ayatollah Khomeini’s death, constitutes the first clear line of the new leadership.

Khamenei characterized Israel as an American military base created over the past eight decades by Western imperialism. As he stated, the West cannot accept the existence of a strong and sovereign Iran on the eastern borders of what he calls Greater Israel, that is, east of the Euphrates.

In his message, the Ayatollah emphasized that the current religious and political school of thought faithfully follows in Khomeini’s footsteps. It is based on defending authentic Islam, on uprising for the sake of God, on the triumph of truth, and on supporting the oppressed—a stance that, as he said, infuriates the United States.

Humiliating defeat and hybrid warfare

According to the Iranian leader, the enemy has already suffered a heavy and humiliating defeat both on military battlefields and in the streets. For this reason, as he explained, it has now shifted the confrontation to the field of hybrid warfare. The goal is to strike the Iranian people’s resilience and cause mistakes in the leadership through fear, frustration, distrust, and division.

Khamenei called on the Iranian people for unwavering stability, foresight, and absolute unity. He made clear that any action that sows distrust and frustration within the country is tantamount to direct collaboration with Iran’s enemies.

The message closes with a wish for the final victory and greatness of the Iranian nation.
