There’s no border like the border we had, and created the most secure border in the history of our country,” Trump stated, pointing to official figures indicating zero illegal crossings in the past twelve months.
The President expressed surprise at the zero-entry statistic, noting that the data comes from sources he characterized as politically hostile to his administration, which lends additional credibility to the unprecedented achievement.
On violent crime, Trump revealed that the murder rate dropped to its lowest point in 125 years following what he described as the largest single-year reduction on record. The steep decline comes as his administration continues removing dangerous criminals who entered the country during the Biden years.
Trump disclosed that the previous administration allowed 11,888 convicted murderers into the United States, with more than half of that number having committed multiple homicides. His administration has since deported or imprisoned a significant portion of these individuals, though the search for remaining dangerous illegal aliens continues.
“We’ve gotten a lot of them out. We’ve gotten some. We put them in jail,” the President said, adding that those responsible for permitting such criminals entry should be held accountable for the damage inflicted on the nation.
