Donalds: Enemies Using Propaganda, Hate to Destabilize US
Rep. Byron Donalds warned that extremist movements across the political spectrum are converging on dangerous ideologies while foreign adversaries exploit American freedoms to create internal instability.
Speaking on Fox News Channel’s “Faulkner Focus,” Donalds expressed concern about the alignment of far-left and far-right factions around shared policy positions, which he characterized as fundamentally incompatible with national security and democratic values.
“The policy views, and by the way, the outright bigotry and antisemitism, that will fundamentally destroy the United States of America,” the Florida Republican stated, emphasizing the gravity of the ideological threat.
Beyond domestic political divisions, Donalds highlighted what he identified as a coordinated foreign interference campaign. Hostile nations, he argued, are exploiting America’s constitutional protections—particularly free speech and social media platforms—as weapons against national cohesion.
Donalds contended that adversarial powers recognize they cannot defeat the United States through conventional economic or military means. Instead, he suggested, they are targeting American political and cultural foundations through strategic information operations designed to create internal instability and division.
“If you destabilize us politically, culturally, that’s how you can unwind the United States,” Donalds explained, pointing to foreign actors he believes are actively working toward American decline through these asymmetric tactics.
