In a Truth Social statement posted Monday, the president disclosed that he used a Saturday phone call with leaders from eight Middle Eastern nations to press for their membership in the historic normalization framework he established during his first term.

The wide-ranging call included Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Qatar’s Minister Ali al-Thawadi, Pakistani Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Jordan’s King Abdullah II, and Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Trump told the assembled leadership that joining the Abraham Accords should be mandatory for all participating countries, given the extensive work the United States has invested in assembling what he described as a very complex regional arrangement.

The Abraham Accords were launched in 2020 with the UAE and Bahrain as founding members. The framework normalizes diplomatic and economic relations between Israel and participating Arab nations. Current members also include Kazakhstan, Morocco, and Sudan.

The president acknowledged that one or two countries might have legitimate reasons for declining, but emphasized that most should be prepared to join in order to transform any Iran settlement into a far more historic achievement.

Trump specifically identified Saudi Arabia and Qatar as countries that should take the lead in signing the accords, as Breitbart News reports. He warned that nations refusing to join should be excluded from any peace arrangement with Iran, as their reluctance would demonstrate negative intentions.

The president framed the potential agreement as a document that would command unprecedented global respect, with a level of importance and prestige that would be unmatched in international diplomacy.

In a notable development, Trump revealed that discussions have explored the possibility of Iran itself joining the Abraham Accords framework once a formal agreement is finalized.

Multiple leaders he consulted expressed they would be honored to include the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Abraham Accords following the signing of any deal, Trump stated, calling such an outcome something special.

The president characterized the prospective agreement as the most important deal these nations—which have historically been in conflict—will ever sign, asserting that nothing in the past or future will exceed its significance.
