SNS (Slovak)
About
The Slovak National Party (Slovenská národná strana, SNS) traces its modern form to the early 1990s and is one of Slovakia's oldest parties. It is a Slovak nationalist party advocating Slovak identity, stricter policies toward national minorities, and social conservatism. Currently part of the governing coalition alongside Smer and Hlas, SNS has historically alternated between government participation and periods below the parliamentary threshold.
Wikipedia ↗Leadership
Andrej Danko has led SNS since 2012. A lawyer and politician known for nationalist rhetoric on Slovak language, culture, and identity, he served as speaker of the National Council from 2016 to 2020. He has positioned SNS as an unambiguously patriotic party on the right flank of Slovakia's governing coalition.
