Shooting Outside Israeli Consulate in Constantinople Caught on Video

A violent attack unfolded outside the Israeli consulate in Constantinople, resulting in the gunman's death and injuries to four others, as Turkish authorities quickly secured the area and launched an investigation.

Shootings occurred this morning outside the Israeli consulate in Constantinople.

In the terrorist attack outside the Israeli consulate in Constantinople, one armed assailant was killed while four others were injured.

The attack took place on the morning of Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in front of the building housing the Israeli consulate in the Turkish metropolis. Eyewitnesses reported hearing gunshots, which were immediately followed by panic in the area.

The Turkish authorities responded promptly, and according to initial official information, the assailant was killed on the spot. The four injured were taken to nearby hospitals where they received first aid. It has not yet been confirmed whether the injured include police officers or civilians.

The moments caught on video

Many people near the consulate at the time managed to capture the moment of the gunfire on their mobile phones. The footage shows intense activity and the gunshots can be clearly heard, while the police arrive almost immediately at the scene.

The Turkish authorities are already conducting an extensive investigation to determine the assailant’s motives and whether he had accomplices. So far, no one has claimed responsibility, but the incident is classified by the authorities as a terrorist act.

The area around the Israeli consulate remains cordoned off, with security measures increased at all diplomatic buildings across Constantinople. Israel has not yet issued an official statement but is closely monitoring the developments.
