Pride Flags on Budapest Bridge Removed by Unknown Dissident
Budapest's Elizabeth Bridge has been adorned with LGBT flags by liberal Mayor Gergely Karácsony ahead of the June 27th Pride Parade, marking a symbolic shift from Viktor Orbán's defeated conservative government.
The flags were installed over the weekend in anticipation of the Budapest Pride Parade scheduled for June 27th, as The European Conservative reports. Gergely Karácsony, Budapest’s mayor, authorized the placement of the rainbow flags along one of the capital’s most recognizable landmarks.
