German Police: ‘Open Season For Rape,’ Country is Finished

German police officers are telling a journalist off the record that mass migration is causing rapid deterioration, with officers describing Germany as disappearing and becoming a lawless zone.

German investigative journalist Liv von Boetticher has gone public with alarming accounts she collected from law enforcement personnel across the country, urging her fellow citizens to heed their warnings. Speaking to the broadsheet newspaper Die Welt, von Boetticher explained she had conducted interviews with police officers from every department, age group, and federal state throughout Germany.

The journalist said she decided to speak out after recognizing a disturbing pattern: officers would provide sanitized official statements for the record, but once recording equipment was switched off, they revealed a far grimmer reality. Behind closed doors, these law enforcement professionals shared accounts describing fear, anger, violence, systemic breakdown, disastrous migration policies, and a pervasive sense of abandonment by both political leaders and society at large.

Von Boetticher observed that even specialist police press officers frequently struggle to frame the chaos in acceptable terms for public consumption. She witnessed them wrestling to find the right words to make absurd situations acceptable when facing cameras, as Breitbart News reports.

The consensus among officers interviewed was unequivocal, von Boetticher told Die Welt: conditions are deteriorating rapidly. One officer stated bluntly that Germany as a recognizable nation is disappearing. Others described the country as a free-for-all zone where robbery and rape occur with impunity, noting that even the gravest criminal offenses result in shockingly minimal consequences. Perpetrators routinely escape meaningful justice, officers reported.

The situation in Berlin appears particularly dire. Von Boetticher characterized the capital as a crisis hotspot operating on a different level from the rest of Germany. Some Berlin officers told her in plain language that the country has already been lost or is finished. She stressed, however, that the process is still unfolding and a theoretical window exists for reversing course, though such action would need to happen immediately.

This bleak assessment from frontline officers emerges despite a decade-long institutional campaign to purge German police forces of personnel critical of mass migration or sympathetic to the populist-right Alternative for Germany party. That ideological cleansing effort continues unabated, with Germany’s top law enforcement official declaring in 2025 that supporting AfD is fundamentally incompatible with police service. Multiple German states are now pursuing measures to prohibit AfD members from holding any government employment whatsoever.
