Chinese Communists Can’t Grasp Human Soul’s Value Over AI

A Breitbart editor argues Chinese communists cannot compete in AI development because their ideology prevents them from understanding the irreplaceable value of the human soul.

Frances Martel, International Editor at Breitbart News, made the remarks during a weekend expert panel discussion focused on artificial intelligence and Chinese geopolitical ambitions, according to Breitbart News.

Speaking at the Breitbart Founders’ Roundtable event titled “The Invisible War – AI, China, and the Battle for Global Control,” Martel offered what she described as a spiritual perspective on the technology competition between Beijing and the West.

Communism fundamentally seeks to destroy the human soul, Martel explained, noting that the Chinese Communist Party has spent more than fifty years systematically crushing individual souls while now attempting to build artificial intelligence systems in an equally soulless manner.

As a result, the regime struggles to comprehend what makes a human being more valuable than a machine, she said.

The core challenge posed by AI technology centers on questions about what distinguishes humanity from algorithmic systems, Martel argued. China will face far greater difficulty answering these questions than free societies because the government has actively destroyed the very characteristic that separates humans from AI: the soul and the ability to discern truth from within rather than from external influences.

Critical Thinking as Competitive Edge

Martel shared her personal intellectual discipline of regularly consuming Chinese state propaganda and left-wing media to sharpen her analytical abilities. This practice forces her to argue against opposing viewpoints internally, which strengthens her own positions and critical thinking skills.

Those unique qualities of soul and communication will determine who remains more valuable than artificial intelligence in the employment marketplace, she emphasized.

Looking ahead ten to fifteen years when AI becomes integrated into daily life, discerning employers will identify those workers capable of critical thought and who demonstrate qualities beyond machine capabilities, Martel predicted. Those individuals will retain their jobs and economic security.

Expert Panel on China Threat

The roundtable discussion brought together China and technology specialists including senior Breitbart News contributor Peter Schweizer and AI expert Wynton Hall, who also serves as social media director for the outlet. Alex Marlow, editor-in-chief of Breitbart News, moderated the conversation.

The Founders’ Roundtable series provides a platform for Breitbart Fight Club subscribers at the Middleweight membership level and above to engage with subject matter experts, political leaders, and administration officials. Previous events have featured EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, and Senator Marsha Blackburn.
