British Woman Stabbed to Death at German Train Station

A 31-year-old British woman died after being stabbed at a German train station, with a 27-year-old German man detained as police investigate the motive.

The fatal attack occurred at Rosenheim train station, located in the southern German town of Rosenheim. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital following the assault but succumbed to serious injuries, local police confirmed.

Suspect Detained at Scene

Federal police officers who responded to the incident took a 27-year-old German man into custody immediately after the stabbing took place. Authorities identified the suspect as a resident of Fürstenfeldbruck, a county near the scene of the attack.

In accordance with German privacy regulations, law enforcement officials have not disclosed the names of either the victim or the detained suspect.

Investigation Ongoing

Rosenheim police stated that investigators are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the violent incident and the motive behind the attack. The case remains under active investigation.

Authorities have issued a public appeal for witnesses to come forward with any information. Specifically, police are asking whether anyone observed an argument or physical altercation at the train station during the early hours between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

The incident marks another violent attack on British nationals abroad, raising concerns about public safety at transportation hubs across Europe.
