Labour’s migrant crisis ‘gimmick’ torn apart: ‘Deport them!’

Chris Philp condemned Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood for what he described as failing to address Britain’s ongoing migrant crisis, according to GB News.

The controversy centers on plans to relocate 83 asylum seekers into 21 new-build homes in Stoke Heath, Shropshire. Each property carries an estimated value of £250,000.

Philp expressed fury at the scheme during an appearance on GB News, contrasting the accommodation being offered to illegal migrants with the housing struggles faced by British citizens. He pointed out that young people in the local area could not hope to afford such properties, yet the government was prepared to hand them over to individuals who entered the country unlawfully.

The Conservative MP demanded immediate cancellation of the housing scheme, receiving support from local representative Mark Pritchard, who has already called for the plan to be scrapped.

Rather than providing premium accommodation to illegal entrants, Philp argued that the government should focus on removal and deportation. He insisted that anyone who entered Britain illegally should face immediate deportation rather than being rewarded with housing that remains out of reach for working British families.

The Shadow Home Secretary accused the Labour administration of merely tinkering around the edges of the migrant crisis instead of implementing meaningful solutions.

Philp emphasized that individuals crossing from France—a safe country—and entering Britain without authorization have broken the law and should face the consequences through swift removal from British territory.

The Shropshire housing scheme has sparked outrage among conservative voices who view it as emblematic of misplaced priorities, with taxpayer resources being diverted to accommodate illegal migrants in properties that British citizens struggle to access through legitimate means.
