The German-Swiss forensic psychiatrist, who serves as Professor of Forensic Psychiatry at the University of Konstanz, has spent more than 30 years working with criminal offenders. His professional background includes serving as Chief Physician of the Psychiatric-Psychological Service of the Canton of Zurich from 1997 to 2018, where he developed FOTRES, a widely used risk assessment system for violent and sexual offenders.
