Illegal Alien Accused of Killing Four in Oklahoma DUI Crash
A 26-year-old illegal alien faces second-degree murder charges after allegedly killing four recent high school graduates in a wrong-way drunk driving crash on Interstate 40 in Oklahoma.
Michael Rosario-Cruz stands accused of causing the deaths of 20-year-old Kiercy Hickson, 19-year-old Quincy Jones, 18-year-old Haleigh Salazar, and 18-year-old Brad Palmer in the May 22 collision. The Canadian County Sheriff’s Office arrested Rosario-Cruz on multiple charges including second-degree murder, drunk driving causing bodily injury, possessing a firearm with an altered identification during the commission of a felony, carrying firearms while under the influence, transporting an open container, and driving the wrong way on a one-way road.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that the four victims were traveling eastbound on Interstate 40 when Rosario-Cruz, driving in the wrong direction, struck their vehicle head-on. All four occupants died at the crash site, while Rosario-Cruz sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Two of the victims, Jones and Palmer, had celebrated their graduation from El Reno High School just one week before the fatal crash. Hickson and Salazar were also recent high school graduates beginning their adult lives, with Salazar having completed her studies at El Reno High School the previous year.
Officials from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed to Fox News Digital that Rosario-Cruz is an illegal alien. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a detainer on him, a standard procedure that ensures illegal aliens are transferred to federal custody upon release from local detention to face deportation proceedings.
The case underscores ongoing concerns about public safety risks posed by illegal immigration and the consequences of allowing individuals without legal status to remain in the country.
