Today, the 54-year-old Albanian woman who attacked and stabbed her 42-year-old compatriot four times is expected to appear before the investigating judge in Rhodes. Fortunately, the victim is hospitalized in stable condition at the Rhodes hospital. Despite the serious wounds she suffered, including stab wounds to the arm, leg, chest, and back, her health is not at risk.
The 42-year-old was admitted to the Emergency Department of the hospital, where doctors promptly treated her injuries, focusing primarily on the more severe chest wound.
The suspect, reportedly suffering from psychological problems, voluntarily surrendered to the authorities at the Ialysos Police Department a few hours after the attack and is facing criminal charges including attempted murder, robbery, illegal detention, and other accusations.
Regarding the attack, according to information, everything took place early on the morning of last Saturday, May 2, 2026. The 54-year-old visited the home of the 42-year-old, who was caring for an elderly couple there. When she asked for the victim’s mobile phone and the woman refused, a struggle followed in which the suspect pulled out a 26-centimeter knife and injured her.
After the attack, the perpetrator removed the victim’s mobile phone, left the scene, locked the injured woman inside the house, and went to the police station, where she surrendered and indicated the locations where she had left the knife and the keys.
Despite the serious charges surrounding the case, the 54-year-old appears to claim that the mobile phone belonged to her. Today, she will provide further explanations during her appearance before the investigating judge in Rhodes, according to MeaCulpa.gr.
