Tsinar Mosque Trial”: New Adjournment and Provocative Tactics in Komotini
The trial for harassment of the former Mufti of Komotini was interrupted for the second time after defendants requested a postponement amid tensions outside the courthouse.
Provocative Machinations and Hypocrisy Surrounding the Trial for the Harassment of the Former Mufti of Komotini
For the second time, those who pose as defenders of “rights” and “justice” have demonstrated in practice that the only thing they truly seek is to avoid the judgment of Greek Justice.
The scene that unfolded outside the courthouse was revealing and shameful. A small but organized core of supporters of the defendants, under the guidance of the well-known planted pseudo-muftis of Xanthi and Komotini and with the tolerance or even support of certain minority political figures, engaged once again in shouting, provocations, and displays of fanaticism.
Their audacity exceeded all limits: the same people who are blocking the trial through continuous procedural maneuvers and schemes had the audacity to shout slogans about “justice.” This is absolute political hypocrisy and a direct insult to the institutions and to common sense.
The provocative and aggressive behavior of the defendants and their supporters created a tense atmosphere, with the obvious aim of intimidation and provocation of incidents.
Those who were present clearly realized that specific circles are systematically attempting to turn every judicial procedure into an organized spectacle of pressure and division, seeking to impose a climate of fear within the minority and the local community.
Incidents were avoided only thanks to the composure and responsibility shown by the lawful Muftis and citizens who respect legality and social peace. If the other side had encountered the same intensity and fanaticism that it itself cultivates, the situation could have spiraled dangerously out of control.
Thrace’s society now knows very well who systematically invests in tension, division, and manipulation of the minority for personal, political, and foreign interests. The masks are falling every day. No matter how much they try to appear as “victims,” reality proves them wrong.
Greek Justice cannot and must not remain hostage to organized pressures, shouting, and backstage mechanisms. The case must be tried immediately and a clear message must be sent that in Thrace, the laws of the Greek state apply, not the wishes of those who have learned to operate with logics of intimidation, parastatal influence, and political manipulation.
THE LAW WILL BE ENFORCED!

Editor’s Comment
The repeated instrumentalization of the judicial process and the artificial polarization outside the courtrooms prove that certain circles in Thrace fear the truth and institutional legitimacy. The steady stance of composure from the lawful Muftis protects social cohesion, but Greek justice must send a resounding message: logics of intimidation have no place in a state of law.
