Terrorist Plotted Attack on Ivanka Trump, Report Says

Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, a 32-year-old Iraqi national, was taken into custody in May 2026 and subsequently extradited to the United States. Federal prosecutors allege he trained under the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and had developed detailed plans targeting Trump’s eldest daughter, including possessing architectural blueprints of her Florida residence.

Court documents reveal that Al-Saadi maintained a troubling social media presence documenting his alleged intent. In December 2021, he posted images of the exclusive Florida enclave where Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner own a $24 million property. The post included a threatening message in Arabic stating, “neither your palaces nor the Secret Service will protect you. We are currently in the stage of surveillance and analysis.”

Sources with direct knowledge of the threat corroborated the assassination plot. Entifadh Qanbar, a former deputy military attaché at the Iraqi embassy in Washington, told investigators that Al-Saadi had circulated statements about his intentions. “We need to kill Ivanka to burn down the house of Trump the way he burned down our house,” according to Qanbar’s account of Al-Saadi’s remarks following Soleimani’s death.

The Department of Justice indictment extends far beyond the Trump family assassination plot. Al-Saadi stands accused of orchestrating a coordinated terrorism campaign across Europe and North America throughout 2026, including 18 attacks spanning a three-month period alone. These incidents targeted both American citizens and Jewish communities.

Pattern of Violent Attacks

Federal authorities documented a series of violent incidents allegedly connected to Al-Saadi’s network:

• Firebombing of the Bank of New York Mellon in Amsterdam in March 2026
• Stabbing of two Jewish victims in London in April 2026
• Shooting at the United States consulate building in Toronto in March 2026
• Bombing of a synagogue in Liège, Belgium
• Arson attack on a temple in Rotterdam
• Multiple foiled domestic attacks within the United States

Soleimani, the Iranian general killed in a 2020 American airstrike in Baghdad, had orchestrated numerous attacks on U.S. forces during the Iraq War, leaving hundreds of American servicemen dead through roadside bombings and other terrorist operations. Prosecutors allege that Al-Saadi worked in close coordination with both Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the leader of the terrorist militia Kata’ib Hizballah, who was eliminated in the same strike.

Social media evidence seized during the investigation documented Al-Saadi consulting directly with Soleimani at military facilities, examining maps and tactical equipment. Posts on his accounts showed him traveling extensively across Europe and Asia, photographing himself at the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, interspersed with kayaking photos and military posturing.

Following Soleimani’s death, court filings indicate Al-Saadi actively recruited others to carry out terrorist operations in retaliation. In July 2020, he posted an image of the U.S. Capitol in ruins superimposed with photographs of Soleimani and al-Muhandis, accompanied by the text, “our revenge for the martyred leaders is ongoing.”

The case underscores the persistent threat posed by Iranian-backed terror networks operating across multiple continents and targeting American leadership and civilians.
