Palestinian terrorist was preparing fire and death in Greece!

A 37-year-old Palestinian man was arrested in Crete and charged with planning a terrorist attack against Israeli interests and receiving explosives training.

According to authorities, the accused was involved in serious crimes. Among other things, he is charged with forming and joining a terrorist organization, receiving training in the manufacture and use of explosives for terrorist activities, traveling for the purpose of attending related training, as well as providing criminal support for terrorist purposes.

Following the filing of charges, the 37-year-old was referred to the examining magistrate.

He was arrested in the early hours of Saturday in Agios Nikolaos, Crete, as part of a joint operation by the National Intelligence Service (EYP) and the Counter-Terrorism Unit. His transfer to Athens was carried out under draconian security measures. The convoy that transported him to the courts was accompanied by four police vehicles and one motorcycle of the Hellenic Police.

As has become known, the arrest was carried out as part of “Operation Odin.” Investigations continue in order to fully explore his international connections and the scope of his alleged activities.
