A case file for robbery has been filed by the Vouprasia Police Department in Ilia, following the arrest of three foreign nationals on Saturday, March 7.

The incident has come to light, highlighting the concern caused by such criminal acts in the area, as reported by papafotis.gr.

A complaint from a foreign victim revealed that the perpetrators, pretending that a friend of theirs was facing a serious health problem, persuaded him to get into a car. They then drove him to a remote coastal location in Kounoupelaki on Friday, March 6.

At that location, the perpetrators immobilized the victim, inflicted physical injuries, and stole 600 euros along with his passport.

Following investigations, the police arrested two of the accused, who were identified by the victim.

Subsequently, police officers from the Ilia Crime Investigation Department (O.P.D.I.) located the third suspect in Kardamas, Ilia. The victim’s passport was found in his possession, confiscated, and returned to its lawful owner.

The three detainees are expected to be brought before the Ilia Prosecutor of First Instance, while the preliminary investigation continues by the Vouprasia Police Department.
