Arrests of Minor Foreigners in Paxos Raise Concern Over €3,000 Stadium Damage
Three minor foreign nationals aged 14 and 15 were arrested on Paxos for vandalizing a municipal sports facility, causing damage worth €3,000; their parents were also detained for neglecting supervision.
Three underage foreigners were arrested in Paxoi for vandalism at a municipal sports field, according to Law&Order. Local police officers from the area’s Police Department proceeded with the arrest of the youths last Thursday, February 19, 2026, following a complaint describing the damage caused to the sports field’s locker rooms.
The perpetrators, a 14-year-old and two 15-year-olds, broke into the door of the room and caused damage to sports equipment and other facilities on site, with the damages estimated at 3,000 euros. A case was filed against them for aggravated damage.
Additionally, the minors’ parents were arrested for neglecting their supervisory duties. The preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Paxoi Police Department, while authorities are monitoring the situation closely.
