Berlin police confirmed on social media that a witness had observed a dispute between several individuals, one of whom allegedly displayed a weapon-like object. Officers from the criminal investigation unit initiated on-site inquiries while special forces swept the area.

The police statement clarified that their special operations team found no individuals during the sweep and that no further evidence of a weapon had emerged. Authorities stated they no longer considered the situation to present a danger and reopened the cordoned area.

Asylum Facility Located on Grounds

A residential container facility for asylum seekers is situated at Tempelhof Field. When questioned by nius.de, police officials declined to confirm whether the accommodation had any connection to the incident.

A police helicopter was deployed to support ground operations during the security sweep, though authorities emphasized that no concrete danger had been established at any point during the response.

The Berlin police mobilized substantial resources to the historic airfield site as a precautionary measure following the witness report of the altercation.
