Four foreign nationals aged 37, 41, 27, and 29 were arrested in Larisa on warrants for residential robberies, while a fifth accomplice is already in prison. Authorities seized money, jewelry, and vehicles.
The arrests of the foreign nationals in Larisa took place in the early hours of March 5, 2026, by the Larisa Crime Prosecution and Investigation Subdivision.
The suspects, along with a fifth foreign national who is currently incarcerated in a correctional facility, are alleged to be involved in two separate home robbery cases during the years 2024 and 2025.
The two solved robberies
In the first case, in the early hours of December 11, 2024, in Larisa, the perpetrators climbed onto a home’s veranda and attempted to break into a balcony door.
The homeowner, a Greek woman, noticed them and unintentionally opened the door, facilitating their entry. They hit her, restrained her on the floor while threatening her with a screwdriver, and stole a jewelry box containing items such as rings.
The second robbery took place at night on January 7, 2025, in an area of the Municipality of Kileler. The perpetrators attacked a Greek man as he was returning home, beat him, and stole 4,000 euros he was carrying.
They then dragged him inside, where two of them threatened him with a military rifle and a knife, stealing a men’s wristwatch and a gold wedding band.
Findings from the investigations
During lawful searches of the suspects’ residences, police located and seized various items. Among these were gold objects such as crosses and bars, two full-face balaclavas, a package containing 8 grams of cannabis, the sum of 6,300 euros, and nine mobile phones. Additionally, two passenger cars used in the robberies were confiscated.
The authorities’ next steps
The four foreign nationals were brought before the Larisa Misdemeanor Prosecutor. The investigation is ongoing by the Larisa Crime Prosecution and Investigation Subdivision to determine whether they are involved in other similar offenses.
The arrests of foreign nationals in Larisa are expected to strengthen the sense of security in the area, as they expose networks of organized crime.
