A complaint from Eleni Papadopoulou, Athens City Councillor and leader of the municipal faction “I Athina MAS” (Our Athens)

Right now in Victoria Square, the city’s riffraff, emerging from the squats that the Police are watching, is holding a gathering. Hamas banners with Arabic slogans and thuggish behavior.

After passing through the neighborhoods around the square screaming, bullying, and vandalizing – the usual – they ended up in the square once again to tell us that the area is theirs.

In the square they met their friends, the Africans, who break in illegally from the southern borders and are mysteriously transferred to the 6th District, and who are gathered by a trafficker’s establishment – someone who was in prison and is now playing businessman again through his wife. But no one saw, no one knows, and no one is concerned.

A little while ago, a car unloaded helmets. Will they tell us what they want them for?

The police also left. For what reason, Mr. Michalis Chrisochoidis?

These groups have been roaming our neighborhoods for years, degrading them, supporting all the riffraff that has gathered here – from illegal immigrants, drug addicts, drug dealers, to criminals. It is no coincidence that their activity contributed to the persecution of residents, the selloff that followed, and the installation of every lowlife who wants free rent. Who are all these people working for, I wonder?

And for what reason has the State surrendered an entire district of Athens, as well as many of its neighborhoods, to this dangerous riffraff to play around in?

Round up the Hamas sympathizers (the new fashion) that you have loose in the square again, Mr. Michalis Chrisochoidis, because it’s gotten out of hand with these groups and the absurdities they put forward each time. Let them demonstrate in Ekali. Enough already. The gypsies get off scot-free, the squats the same, the Hamas supporters the same. What will be done about your case, Mr. Minister?
