Rep. Andrew Garbarino of New York warned that Tehran maintains relentless digital aggression against American infrastructure and would not hesitate to launch physical attacks on U.S. soil if given the opportunity, as Breitbart News reports.
During an interview on the Fox News Rundown podcast released Wednesday, Garbarino outlined the evolving threat landscape facing the homeland security apparatus, emphasizing counter-drone operations, cyberattacks, and lone wolf actors as primary concerns.
The Republican chairman made clear that Iran’s hostility toward America extends far beyond rhetoric. He stated that if the Tehran regime could successfully execute an attack on American territory, it would do so without hesitation.
They attack us every day, millions of times a day, with cyberattacks, Garbarino said, describing the scale of Iran’s digital warfare operations.
The Homeland Security Chairman expressed bewilderment at those who continue to defend Iran despite its documented record of aggression. He noted that the regime constantly probes for vulnerabilities that could enable physical attacks within the United States.
