A boat carrying 32 foreign illegal immigrants was spotted in the sea area 40 nautical miles south of Kali Limenes, according to Newsbomb. The discovery was made under the coordination of the Unified Search and Rescue Coordination Center (EKSED).

According to announcements by the Coast Guard, the detection was carried out by an aerial asset of FRONTEX. Subsequently, a Coast Guard patrol vessel proceeded to collect and safely transport the boat’s occupants.

Transfer to the port of Kali Limenes

The 32 new “guests” are being transferred to the port of Kali Limenes, where the prescribed procedures of registration and identification will be followed by the competent authorities, so they can declare whatever they wish as their personal details, since by standard practice they throw their real documents into the sea as soon as they are spotted by the coast guard that will…”rescue” them.
