My emergency alarm goes off when I do this
uhhhh, when i press the right side button and either of the volume up or down, the phone absolutely does not shut off, but initiates an emergency call to 911…not exactly helpful. iphone x. I suppose it is not actually the phone but my useless provider. That be KOODO.
How to disable this freaking feature to able anybody has ability to power it off

There’s a side button on two sides .
But doesn't it want to call 911 if you press both sides?
If anyone is wondering why your iPhone starts contacting emergency services, please make sure to stop holding the buttons when you see the power off slider. If you continue to hold the buttons, it will contact emergency services. To turn off your iPhone, release the buttons when you see the slider and slide the slider off. This will power your iPhone off.
