New Demonstration of Power by Parastatal Mechanisms in Komotini: General Assembly and Elections in the Illegal \u201cTurkish Youth\u201d (G\u00fcm\u00fclcine T\u00fcrk Gen\u00e7ler Birli\u011fi \u2013 GTGB) with the Provocative Participation of \u00d6zg\u00fcr Ferhat<\/strong><\/p>\n

The effort to sustain and promote extralegal and illegal structures directed by the Turkish Consulate in Komotini is in full progress. The attempt to institutionally alienate the Greek State by a minority deviant group within the Minority is guided by external centers.<\/p>\n

This atmosphere is reinforced by the Consulate\u2019s fear of the \u201cday after\u201d as the pro-Consulate minor actors receive daily disapproval from the local community.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, May 17, 2026,<\/strong> the regular general assembly and elections took place for the appointment of the new administrative board in the illegal and officially dissolved by the Greek courts \u201cUnion of Turkish Youth of Komotini\u201d (G\u00fcm\u00fclcine T\u00fcrk Gen\u00e7ler Birli\u011fi \u2013 GTGB). The event was held at the association\u2019s clubhouse, in the presence of the leadership of the consular mechanism.<\/p>\n

However, the fact that caused the greatest sensation and confirms the scale of the political provocation was the presence of the Rodopi MP, \u00d6zg\u00fcr Ferhat<\/strong>, who\u2014just one day after his official independence from Nea Aristera (New Left)\u2014came to the ballot box of the illegal structure and proudly voted for the election of the new administrative board.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Extralegal Presidium and Political Statements<\/h2>\n

The procedure began with the appointment of the General Assembly Presidium (Divan Kurulu), where, under the directions of the mechanism\u2019s staff, the President was assumed by the deputy of the illegal pseudo-mufti of Komotini, Fehim Ahmet.<\/strong> The secretarial duties were undertaken by the General Director of PEKEM (BAKE\u015e), Pervin Khairullah, and Setskin Yetimoglu,<\/strong> individuals who consistently support the activities of the parastatal structures.<\/p>\n

During the reading of the report, the outgoing president, Sedat Hasan,<\/strong> provocatively described the illegal union as the \u201cheart of the minority\u201d and the \u201cmeeting point of youth,\u201d emphasizing that it constitutes a compulsory stop for all official and unofficial visitors arriving from abroad (implying Turkey).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Next, the illegal pseudo-mufti of Komotini, Ibrahim Serif,<\/strong> took the floor and attempted to glorify the association\u2019s activity (which has been judicially closed due to its use of the term \u201cTurkish\u201d). Ibrahim Serif once again fostered a divisive atmosphere, adopting rhetoric about the \u201cdenial and annulment of their existence\u201d by the Greek state, while calling for rallying around the consular mechanisms, saying characteristically:<\/strong> \u201cIf we support this cause, we will continue to exist; if we abandon it, we will disappear.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n
