The scheme would establish new so-called safe and legal routes allowing universities, employers, churches, and community groups to sponsor refugees selected overseas before traveling to Britain.<\/p>\n<p>While ministers claim the programme will be capped initially, Labour sources told The Guardian that the government plans to scale up the scheme from hundreds to thousands of arrivals each year.<\/p>\n<h2>Reform UK Condemns Plan as Undemocratic<\/h2>\n<p>The announcement immediately sparked condemnation from Reform UK.
